I have several questions about these shots. In both of these, what camera / lens were you shooting?

In the first one, did you intend to have the lens flare in the image? It's fun but it detracts from the couple which I presume are what the photo was about. If you intended it, it's a very interesting look to the image.

In the second one, this is a nice composition and hopefully the couple like the image. What I want to know is what is the significance of the ink(?) stains on the fingers? I presume this was a wedding and it's something to do with the event but I've never seen this sort of thing including the tatoos on the hand. If you don't mind, I'm interested in the significance of this.

1st photo was taken by canon 1000d with 18-55mm kit lens...
the lens flare actually taken by accidentally..but somehow the couple and myself kinda like the effect so we stick with it..its becoming more coincidence as the couple both look up to the flare direction. Sometime accident makes beauty..haha~

2nd photo was taken by sony a330 with 17-55mm kit lens...or 50mm f1.7..i think it was the kit lens... =P
this was a difference wedding and difference couple from the 1st photo...the ink ..called Henna (or Inai in Malay) not an ink but just a temporary tattoo style look..Another term for henna artwork is Mehndi where henna is applied as a temporary form of skin decoration particularly during weddings to signify fertility and love, and normaly applied at hands and feet, its something cultural in Malay Wedding. for more in plz read this page http://www.bahasa-malaysi...un.com/malay_wedding.html i think i had enough info on this.  Wink

both wedding slideshow are viewable at my youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/Pixelgrafyand my webpage. Cool

sorry both not taken with pentax slr due to some un-avoided problem ..  Grin

Thanks for the info. The flare is fun for sure.

Henna, ok I know what that is. I'll visit the links in a bit. Thanks.

The flare adds to the presentation and although I was reasonably aware of henna art the link explained a lot more particularly about the wedding ceremonies - many thanks  Cool
