I like that you explord different camera angles, sought out different compositions. I think that the norm is to reproduce the tried and true traditional shots...... nice to see a fresh approach, a different look and feel.

Nice series. I'd echo Spyglass's earlier comment that your choice of composition and views are non-traditional and interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting and candid shots. These type of shots would be extremely sentimental to the bride and Groom and maybe not to others. That's what good wedding should do. Well done. JIM

Thanks for your kind comment. I think there's still more improvement to make. Will try to practice more and post more.

With all those candid shots, do you (did you) take more formal shots too?

I like your use of wide angle for some. Would like to see more DOF, however, and man's arm is blocking his face in the one I like best. But it is a refreshingly creative approach.

Traditional posed wedding shots look like posed shots. "Now smile." While they are more technically correct than your approach, they lack the expressions and interactions between participants that really captures the essence of the event. I love your approach and most like the shot of the parents lifting the bride's veil. Some shots, however, look like snapshots.
From what I understand, the biggest technical challenge of wedding photography is lighting and exposure values. That's all things one can learn, but the eye you have for creative compositions can't be taught.
If you are doing this for a living, you may consider upgrading to a K5 (for much greater DR) and a better flash.

Jaste03 you seem to have a good eye and imagination for this area of photography. Like T-man, I really enjoyed the parents lifting the bridal veil. I think that shots that fall outside of the norm tend to be more personal. Nice work.

Jason
You use architecture well in your portraits.
I thought the shoes were an original wedding image.
I'd be happy to pay for these if it was my wedding...
