Hi

Since a few years, the Sonchaux Acro Show does take place at the upper end of Lake Geneva. A acrobatic hanggliding/paragliding event featuring the best pilots of the world. They jump from a nearby mountain, perform their figures and try to land on a rather small pitch on the lake.

As last year, I took the Bigma, the Sigma 50-500 OS DG HSM for the event. It allows to capture the figures high up in the sky as well as the landing attempts without changing the lens. But then, this time, I was remembered one more time that a 500mm lens is not of that much use on far distant objects when the air is not good. Today was a very hot day with quite some dust in the air limiting the contrast and details at 500mm. So, at least for today, I do not have so many photos of the event to share.
