Harley Davidson racing was one of the support races
these were pretty easy to capture as they are alot slower
than the BSB

I didn't think you could use "Harley and Racing"..... or "Harley and Performance" in the same sentence. Do they fasten cake pans underneath to catch all the leaking oil from contaminated the track? I like to think of Harley more as Artcycles than Motorcycles. -
My favourite Harley story....... My buddy had a Honda Shadow. One day he came to me and said "I am going over to the dark side". The next thing I knew he had sold his Honda and ordered a Harley. A few weeks later he gets a call that his new Harley is at the dealer and he can go pick it up. He gets his wife to drive him to the dealer. He gets on his new Hog and fired it up. Like most Harley owners he whips himself into a Hog frenzy by rolling the throttle back and forward (in neutral in the parking lot). He puts it in gear a rides off the lot. At first he thinks that there is something majorly wrong with the bike (no power, tractor clunky transmission, hard to shift). So he turns around and heads back to the dealer. The salesmen gets their mechanic to hop on a take it for a spin. "Nothing wrong" states the mechanic upon completion of his spin. So my buddy gets back on the bike and rides home. I get a call....... "I think I have made the biggest mistake of my life"......"it really looks and sounds cool but."...... He ended up buying another bike (in his words "to enjoy motorcycle riding") and keeping the Harley for short rides with his wife.
Jocoan I bet it was a new experience for you to shoot bike racing at such slow shutter speeds
All joking aside, the captures are decent and anything to do with motorcycles is a good thing.

thank you spyglass for the comments
and your story is quite amusing
we in the uk we call 'harley davidsons'
'hardly dangerouses' which is a good title for such a slow bike

Jocoan in Canada there is a large, middle aged, never owned a bike before, population that run out and buy Harleys They have zero bike knowledge or experience but believe the myth and legend that surrounds Harley. The number of these owners that crash their bikes is sad. Fortunately most happen in parking lots, slow speeds, tip overs, etc. The ones that happen at higher speeds are tragic. Part of the Harley image is skull cap helmets (which offer very little protection) and little to no protective jackets or pants. Shorts and a wife beater shirt (or the leather vest) do not offer much protection when rider meets asphalt. Another disturbing trend is the drinking and riding. Many seem to think that it is par for the course to map their route with pub way points. I guess they see Harley as a recreational thing rather than serious high risk transportation.

Nice captures Dave
As a former (many years ago) Bonneville rider in the UK I then rode a Police Hog for several years in Canada - not a pursuit bike but stable at low speeds for parades, funerals, etc.
Horses for courses - but give me a Bonney any day.
