As some here know, I have Downtown Gallery where I teach a "Beginners Amateur Photo Class". I have lots of photos hanging  there and add more quite often. I was wanting to add more people shots to balance out the Squirrels and Landscapes, and came across this one that I liked very much...but it had problems....I shot it at my Grandsons graduation last year, and the little girl was in the lobby with her parents waiting to enter the giant auditorium to see her big sister graduate. It was just a quick snap, and my setting were not the best in the dim mixture of various light sources. Since I couldn't get it "right', I did what I could to salvage something to print 11X14....and although I would have like to have had better choices, the resulting print has been pleasing. Comments or ideas on what you might have done will be appreciated...I'm always open to learning.

First ...some shots of the "Learning Center"  http://www.flickr.com/pho...5/sets/72157622795496268/

The original shot...

Cropped and given some blur and noise...sepia effect.....printed 11X14

Lovely young lady! Wish I had an opportunity to do better.....
Regards!

Like the old saying "life is 10% what happens to you & 90% how you react to it"   You reacted perfectly to the hand you were dealt and came away with something unique and worthy. Often a detour offers much more in terms of growth and experience. I like what you have created.

Spyglass thanks, it looks so much better in the print than here, but it does accomplish what I wanted. I still wish I had been able to start off with a better shot.
