Hello all,
Just found out on this site that the latest K10D firmware 1.31 is available. Also found out that this update won't work although I tried several times, following the instructions (for mac), changing SD cards and so forth. I have a feeling I'm doing something wrong!?
Any ideas? I sent a message to support...

I've upgraded to it with no problem.   How is it not working?  Make sure you extract the file to the root directory of your SD card.

Mine worked OK.

File should end in ".bin", so as robt61x49 says - it needs to be extracted.  [Ie unzip it]  On mac, that's just a double click.

Mine updated without any hiccups either, but made sure to format my card beforehand.

Thank you all for a fast reply! It is the fault of finger problems and I finally got it right...: drag and drop to the icon on the desktop (NO NAME) and not in the DCIM file.
