Just wanted to ask does the K100D internal flash support High speed sync mode?

This is because when I raise the internal flash, the camera drops the shutter speed to 1/180 sec. This is a real problem when I want to use fill flash while shooting outdoors.

I don't believe it does.  As the flash is not that powerful even if it could do high-speed sync, it would not have enough reach to be worthwhile.

Its one reason to get the 540 over the 360.  In high-speed sync, as the shutter speed becomes higher the guide number becomes lower.  You need extra flash power for high speed sync.

@ ISO 100 w/ 50mm lens w/ AF540
shutter speed  GN
1/180             50
1/250             22.4
1/500             17.4
1/2000             9.5
