I thought that I would post this because I seem to remember someone posted a concern about a noise issue when they first turned on their camera.

I was sitting beside my friend at our son's graduation ceremony. We both had our trusty Pentax cameras in hand (I talked him into buy a Pentax just over a year ago). He said he had a problem with his camera. When he first turned it on it made a Clunk and Stuttering noise. He handed the camera to me so that I could experience it first hand. As soon as I heard it I knew what it was, but not why. I went into the camera's Menu to Settings and looked for the Dust removal parameter. There is a setting where you can enable dust removal at start up. I unchecked the box and his concerns were put to rest. He figures that his son or wife may have turned on the feature by mistake.

Hope this may shed some light on a feature not a problem.
