Pentax 645D Review @ Digicame Watch (Japanese website)

Digicame Watch Japan has posted the world's first review of Pentax 645D digital camera.

The review is written in Japanese, but there are lots of photos (full resolution at over 16MB file size) for you to download and see the quality of the 40MP sensor yourself.

Pentax 645D will only be sold in Japan, oversea release is uncertained at the moment.

It is a thing of beauty. I have seen the shots before and they are beautiful.  Takes awhile to doen load due to their size.  New Lo0tto ticket purchased today because that is going to be what it takes to get this work of art! JIM

Pentax 645D is really cheap when compared to all the other medium format digital in the market. Hasselblad H4D is double the price.

Pentax has been in the medium format market for ages, and I believe their AF system should be just as good if not better than what others are offering.

ISO 200 photos look very clean to me and the details are amazing!

Latest street price in Japan for Pentax 645D body is JPY77500, which is less than USD8k. That's really cheap I would say for a medium format DSLR.
