I'm finding that the more I read on this camera specifically and medium format in general, suggests to me that I'd better start saving my pennies too. My digital photography class last year included several visits to my instructors studio. He had a Contax MF camera with a PhaseOne data back (about $45k) and was doing archival and commercial photography for several local museums. The image quality was amazing but it wasn't like you'd take that rig out for a few snaps of the family. What struck me about this article is that it really puts the 645D in perspective. Quite interesting.
