Hello all...trust everyone had a good Memorial Day weekend.

My wife and I were fortunate to spend part of it in St. Louis.  One of the highlights of our trip was the World Bird Sanctuary.  It appears they rescue injured birds, specializing in bird of prey and releasing them to the wild when they are fully healed.

The Bald Eagle...what can you NOT say about this beautiful symbol of the United States?

This great Owl deserves a caption...can anyone guess what this fellow is thinking?  LOL!

Have a great week!

Hey Mike,  Great shots!  The WBS is a fine place to spend some time.  Did you get to take in a show while you were there?  If so, what birds were flying that day?  Did you see any elk or bison in the rest of the park?  I have many photos from the WBS and we always have a great time when we visit.  I'm glad you were able to get these fine shots you have posted.  Thanks for sharing!

Unfortunately, not.  We were so captivated by the birds of prey and were trying to cram alot of sightseeing in a short time.  Rained on us Monday, so we didn't make it to the Botannical Gardens, which was also on our to do list.  Glad to hear you have been there too...very glad we went!

The Owl was almost giving me that "Go ahead....make my day!" look! LOL!

Mike,

Super raptor shots - the Owl is thinking - "Nice lens but can it catch mice?"
