the bird is great,    i especially like the water rippling at the feet in image #3,   and what makes the whole thing is the little circle ripple from what must have been a drop from it's bill.

The chances are good that I will add more photos of this one. Since around two weeks now, I find this guy always around the same place and it allows to get surprisingly close, for a grey heron.

Lovely sharp shots but #1 and #2 need more space in front of the bird .. it looks rather cramped in that little box Wink

Excellent detail--even better than what you got from your zoom. With the K5's expanded ISO and DR, I'm beginning to reconsider the 300mm f-4. I'd like to see some of these shots at 400 and 800 ISO.

Frogfish: I do agrea with you. I was not able to get further away from it and as my only lens was the DA*300, I had to make the best out of it (which is not too difficult given the IQ of the lens), but framing was not easy.
