This is posted for interest rather than photographic quality. While out birdwatching the other day I came across this one-legged Downy Woodpecker who was extremely friendly. He had obviously been well fed by local visitors but was also very adept at climbing and feeding himself. A few days later I was telling other birdwatchers who apparently had seen him for many months and nicknamed him "Stumpy".

Mike, that's a very good shot as well! Poor little bird with one leg...I don't think it can stick itself to the tree anymore with just one leg... Cry

Hi birders,

A tiny birdie from Greece. The taxonomic name is Phylloscopus collybita, the common english name is chiffchaff. K10D, Sigma 50-500, 100ASA, 1/160 at F6.7, SR on.

I will spend the last days of this beautifull April in Crete, tracking birds. I hope I will have some intresting fames to post.
