I believe this guy is a member of the weevil family but I'm not sure which one. There were two of 'em but the larger one disappeared as I was fetchin' the camera and Tamron SP 90/2.5.

So this is "the lessor of two weevils".    Grin  (I've been lookin' for a legitimate reason to say that for 'bout half a century.)

Exposure was a bit of a challenge being on white house siding in bright sun and the SP 90 has a tendency to leave a nasty flare smack dab in the middle of things in these conditions.

Great job with a tough exposure.
"The lessor of two weevils." Oh man.

Pacerr I bet you have waited years for an opportunity to pull that one out, dust it off, and serve it up.   Roll Eyes

It reminds me of a similar joke that I think is witty and that I have been trying to serve up for years without any success (and that in itself is probably the challenge and the reason for my persistence). Anytime I see someone near a campfire, BBQ, etc. where the stage is set.......I try to slip in "careful you don't make a silly ash of yourself".

The only thing lamer than the joke itself is me trying to polish it, change up the delivery, pick just the right moment, and looking for any sign of encouragement.  Cry  Pacerr will I ever learn.  Sad

Dough Boy Dies

Veteran Pillsbury spokesman Pop N. Fresh died Wednesday of a severe yeast infection. He was 71.

He was buried Friday in one of the biggest funerals in years. Dozens of celebrities turned out including Mrs. Butterworth, the California Raisins, Hungry Jack, Betty Crocker, and the Hostess Twinkies.

The graveside was piled high with flours, as longtime friend Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy, describing Fresh as a man who "never knew he was kneaded".

Fresh rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a smart cookie, and wasted much of his dough on half-baked schemes.

Still, even as a crusty old man, he was a roll model to millions. Fresh is survived by his second wife. They had two children, and one in the oven.

The funeral was at 3:50 for 20 minutes.

For those that question/reject the value/necessity of digital PP.

A whole lot easier now than it was in the wet darkroom, too.

An' for Spy, " . . . speak no weevil" !

Wow, a virtual plethora of opportunity for doing weevil things in this forum.

Earl don't lose heart. In terms of thread topics "Weevils wobble but they don't fall down".   Grin The weevil will be "a long shortly", something that we are all excited to see.

Pacerr great example of Post Editing (the capture after the capture).  Cool
