Two close-ups of a black wing lory (eos cyanogenia). Both taken in Jurong Bird Park with the K20, Sigma 70-300 APO DG and AF540FGZ flash.
1 - The talker
2 - Proudly wearing the colours

Yes, the lighting is really good. Nice drama to the shots, too. Good, bold cropping. Freddy

Thanks guys!
Freddy, as far as I can remember these are not cropped or if so, very little. The birds there are used to being fed by the visitors so they are not exactly shy. They are very agile, though, so it is not easy to get them in the right position.

These sooo colorful. Really very nice. The drop shadow framing sets the images off too. Wow.

February? I must have somehow missed these 2 Prieni. Are these your own personal birds. You seem to have them posing for you. Wonderful colours and nicely captured.

Thanks Tim!
No, they were just two birds at the Jurong Bird Park Singapore. I can't remember what the light background was, they were both taken in one of the aviaries where you can feed the birds and they sit on your hand, licking the nectar out of little plastic cups. It's very nice for kids but also grown ups (do we ever grow up?) enjoy it.
