This was Taken by my Sigma 50 on my last visit to Brooklyn Botanic gardens. f/4 @1 /1500 sec AV mode. K100D.

Nice shot, Freddie: good comp, focus, f-stop, bokeh. The soft look you refer to is due low light and a fairly high ISO (guessing), which puts some noise in the bokeh, but I don't think it is a problem.

Thanks , Mike. I'm thinking about strapping on my FA 28-105 lens. I had wanted one for so long and this classic lens did not disappoint me. It takes wonderful pictures and I'm missing it. Nice to hear from you, always. Freddy
