Leitax

With a Pentax camera and this new bayonet, you get:
-A Leica lens solid on your camera as any Pentax lens. -Your camera will meter in Av and M mode.
-Focus confirmation in the viewfinder.
-Image stabilization in the newest Pentax bodies.
-Diaphragm ring detents that will "click" like the original bayonet.

I presume it is a prime? What price?

I'll just add that they make also mounts to fit olympus OM primes and Contax/Yashica Carl Zeiss lenses. I had 2 contax lenses converted to pk and if you don't mind manual focusing that is a great way to get top class glass for reasonable money.

With 3 Leitax converted lenses I can confirm the system works. The only really awkward conversion was the older Telyt 560 f6.8 lens which needed a bit of filing to a couple of bits. The 50mm Summilux and 90mm Elmarit were just a matter of undoind some screws and swapping over the mount without losing a little metal ball.

You can also use zooms if you wish - I'm hopefully picking up a CZ 35-70 next week. My conversions are done locally at around US$50 for all parts and the removed bits returned in a plastic bag to return the lens to it's initial mount if you wish.

Leica R lenses can be converted (not RF lenses).
Zeiss MM lenses can be converted (not AI).

Plus of course Nikkor, Voigtlander and many more, so long as the registration distance is more than Pentax's.
