Thanks Mike. About 6:30 this morning. Sunrise comes a little later in the mountains than on the plains. I was there at 5:30, but had to wait for the sun to clear Russell Mountain.

i like it , ron,     are there any acorns around where you are,   none to speak of here in connecticut this year;     deer seem to be feeding on the grass or leaves or shrubs i guess? ;    last year there were tons of acorns.   do you know what kind of tree that is in the foreground?        dave

That is an oak in the foreground, and we had an exceptional mast crop this year. Walking through the woods sounded like walking on bubble pack.

i kinda thought it was an oak,   a pin oak maybe?    but that is amazing -  that you have lots of acorns,  there are zero here,  so strange this year,   wonder why.     so which lens too the shot above,  ron?    i'm not going to try to guess this time Smiley

I'm considering a website for it, but Face Book is the only place right now. I can understand some of these old fashioned fuddy-duddys stubornly staying behind the times, but not a young feller like you. Get on FB. It's cool.
