ccd sensors

there just seems to be something about the ccd sensors with certain lenses, k200d, and even the six mp k100d super, that i keep picking the older cameras up to use , as fun, even though the shutter is kinda loud and snaps a bit more , and they aren't as good indoors, in low light, but i like em. and manual focusing too .

I agree: at low ISO and good light, CCD is hard to beat.

what about the lenses , ron ? do you think that different cameras make lenses act differently ( don't know how else to phrase that ) seems that my older lenses such as the k30 f2.8 and even that m150 f3.5, and the k 35 f3.5 , and some of the A- prime lenses i have all seem to be more clear when i look at the images ccd vs the k-5, k-5 just has a different look, unless it is just my imagination.

I don't know about that, David. I don't have a lot of experience with older lenses on newer cameras.

i don't know either, but maybe there is something with the ccd vs cmos sensor, but specifically the AA filter -- found this when looking more into lens evaluations : note the line about the k10d vs the k5, maybe that filter has something to do with the older lenses - i know you have the k10d, i don't have that camera yet to compare it to :

( hope this takes you to the right page ) dave
