Beautiful shots !  And until I saw that fork I wasn't sure where you were ... my wife has a P&S shot of that from earlier this year.  That Zeiss 25  seems to be performing beautifully.

I certainly understand why the lake inspires you to capture its changing moods over and over, and I don't tire of seeing them. Some day, you should put together a short collection of your favorites.

Hi Dom
Are 10 and 11 with a polarizer or does the DA15 render with that much contrast naturally?

I can't comment for Dom on the shots above but the DA15 renders by far the most contrast of any lens I have .... some people say it has a built-in polariser Wink   It also give wonderful starbursts on just about any point of light you put in fron of it. It's a gorgeous lens !

Thanks for the comments.

Calum: I did not use any polarizer for these photos. The DA15 renders a pretty high contrast. But during the weekend, the contrast was not that high, always a little bit of mist directly over the lake. So I used Nik Silver Efex to enhance the contrast (see http://ipaimpress.com/silverefexpro/).

It's not just the contrast and sunburst effect I love about the 15, it retains more foreground detail in these type of shots than any lens I've used, including Zeiss. It is the best lens I've used.

Given that this is the ONE Pentax UWA lens I don't own, do you have any idea about how these images and discussion aggravates my LBA? You guys are killing me with this. The DA 15 Limited is on my next year list...

. . . send me a coupl'a your other UWA's to make room for the 15. It'll make ya feel SO much better about your LBA you'll spring for the 15 this month.

Or maybe you could just put 'em in a lending library sort'a status to get 'em out of the way?
