Dolphins

Dolphins are really hard to get on the photo. Once the AF is done to the position you do expect them, and everything is ready, they appear on the other side of the boat...

Yes, the variety is very impressive.  Some of the desert shots are so surreal looking.  I really like the mood of that series.  The car and gas pump is just too funny.  The close up shots are great.  The landscape photos are superb.  Impressive work.  Thanks for the tour.

Dominique thanks for sharing a part of the world I have never been. You have some stunning wildlife, nature and landscape shots. I imagine it must be hard to go through them all and decide on the keepers. Well done I am impressed in what you have shared here.

Thank you all for the comments.

I am not through sorting all the photos. So far, these are the photos of the first 4 days of the tour (counting 20 days in total), so please check back later to see newer additions.

This may be moot, but I just noticed that Katzeye now has a split image viewfinder for the k-7. Were you able to get one? I recall you were wanting to.

Tim

And again, I am really enjoying these images.

@Tim: thanks

The announcement of KatzEye was too short before my trip, so I did not order the split screen for the K-7 yet.

@Vincent: thanks, the streets in the middle of the afternoon are never that much crowded in Swakopmund, and it was a bank holiday as well.

On the next day, we were leaving Swakopmund.

First, up the coast to Cape Cross to a Cape Fur Seal colonny:

I tried  to take a video of the scene with the DA*200. I short sequence, converted under Studio12 to DivX, and flickr converted it again...

Dominique,

I've thoroughly enjoyed the photos you've posted so far and look forward to seeing more.  It must have been a fantastic trip.

In the evening, we arrive at the Brandberg. The battery of my netbook used to make the first sorting and take a few notes is a bit on the lower level and will soon need a charge. But we are in a lodge without electricity, at least not in the bungalows. Well, I will have to wait the next lodge.

68 Brandberg in early morning light, assembled from 4 shots taken with DA*16-50. Warning, link is huge

After breakfast, we take a longer walk into the Brandberg to get to rock paintings called "White Lady"
