Thanks Dom. Alwaya appreciate your insight. I too use Lightroom and Elements. I recently picked up Nik Viveza 2. Great for small adjustments. JIM

I will definitely have to give Viveza a try. I do start to really appreciate Nik Silver Efex Pro to enhance details and contrast on color photos, especially landscapes. The presets are a gread start and the use of the control points allow local adjustments when needed. I described a bit the technique under

Nik has very effective on-line video tutorials for their plug-ins and, of course, free trial downloads that allow for a practical hands-on experience.
I use both Silver Efex and Vivesa and also find occasional use for a few of the filters in Color Efex. The Color Efex 3 filter set is now widely available for less than US $25 and is well worth the price just for the
digital variable neutral density/gradient filter
. The CE 3 B&W filter is also an economical alternative to SE when combined with Vivesa's U-point feature for local control -- it just doesn't offer the ease of use and film grain replication pre-sets and contrtol.

Thank you Jim. It was a pretty unusual event and definitely lot of fun to attend.
