Topaz Software Suite

For anyone who is interested, Topaz Labs makes a very comprehensive suite of plug-ins which work with Photoshop (Mac or PC), Lightroom (Mac or PC) and Aperture.   Some of the tools are creative and some are basic essentials.

 IMHO Topaz Detail (local contrast and sharpness), Topaz InFocus (deconvolution sharpening) and Topaz DeNoise are the most useful. 

The plug-ins were a bit buggy and prone to crashing when they first came out, but Topaz Labs has addressed those issues, and they are stable on my system (PC, 64 bit Photoshop and Lightroom).
