One of the perks of being an outdoor writer, is manufacturers often give you great deals on equipment so that said equipment will end up in pictures and stories. This is a 17-foot, Osage "Workhorse" that I got primarily because the resort and B&B businesses convinced me to start guiding fishermen on the Black and Current rivers. Canoe is 44 inches wide and stable enough to stand and fish without worry.

Wow, that's some rig for sure. That's almost as wide as both of my sea kayaks (which I wouldn't want to stand up in...). Cool deal.

Nice score T-man. It sure beats my old heavy fiberglass canoe. Since I switched to kayaks I haven't taken my canoe out. If truth be told I found that canoes invite people along that "pretend" to paddle and you end up working much harder. My wife would fall into that category. - LOL

I love that your buddy is up front ready for adventure.  Cool

I got it to guide with. Plenty of room, triple keel--handles surprisingly well. Has a square stern, to which I have mounted a 40 lb. thrust trolling motor. Very little paddling necessary. But it is heavy, so I use a trailer.
