What is the size of memory card you use? With today's 10MP DSLR, my 1GB is definitely TOO SMALL for RAW shooting...  Embarrassed

I use an 8-GB SDHC Mode 6 (fastest) card from A-Data on my K10D. They are OEMs to such "small" companies as SanDisk and Lexar. Got it for $70 from newegg.com!

I use 3 - 1gb Sandisk ll Ultra Plus cards in my K100D they seem fast enough and I used them on my DS2. Love the USB connection and they work fine in my Epson P2000 viewer.

I use several 1 GB Ultra II, a 2 GB Extreme and three 4GB SDHC Ultra II cards. Might sound a lot, but I am going three weeks into the egyptian desert in March and if I decide to shoot RAW, this might not be enough.

I think I will use the 1GB cards on the K100D and the higher capacity in the K10D. I do not really want larger cards than 4GB. 8GB is too big, I do not want to put all eggs in the same basket.

Great thing, I always visit Egypt, in fact I own 2 houses there!

My I suggest visiting the Cairo museum and the down town area in Cairo too!

Also if you have a chance visit Aswan city in the south!
Great place for taking pictures, I’m sure of it!

The tour will start in Cairo and the museum is certainly on the program, the down town of Cairo is however certainly not included as it is not recommended in the actual situation.

Then the tour goes to Alexandria, Marsa Matru and then through the desert up to Abu Simbel. From Abu Simbel, the tour will continue by boat to Aswan and finally bus until Luxor.

I am sure I will make plenty of photos, just not sure if I should get one or two additional cards to make sure (4GB SDHC aren't so expensive anymore).

Yes, Lexar Pro 2Gb SD Card, 133x.

I also just got an ATP Pro Max, 4Gb 150x, works really well it would seem.

Anybody owns 512MB? What do you do with it? As with current 10MP DSLR, 512MB is definitely too small... Tongue
