Today, I saw these rechargeable batteries Uniross RB104593 CR-V3 1300mAh Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery

They claim to be compatible with 2*AA Ni-MH cameras, which would be the case for my K100D. They are only 1300mAh though.
I also noticed that they can only by charged on the they own charger since they have a middle connector such ass all Li-Ion batteries

Has anyone tried these batteries? I'm tempted to buy them because the Ni-MH batteries are a pain in the ass.

Have you tried sanyo eneloops??  I think they're great, as they don't loose charge when stored like other rechargeable batteries.  I would also be careful with Li-Ions, as they can be unstable and catch fire. (remember all those melted laptops a few years ago?)  I recently had a toy helicopter melt into a puddle of plastic goo due to it's Li-ion battery catching fire.

I have a similar set of batteries but not from Sanyo. They are fine but still take a long time to charge and do not keep their charge for so long as they advertise.

There was something on the net a few years ago when I bought my K100d's indicating the rechargeable CR-V3 batteries were not adviseable for use in K100D. This involved the voltage at the time and was substantiated by Pentax advising against using them.

Perhaps Google the subject and look for something around 2006/2007 and also check the K100D manual.
