Okay: it's not pretty--but it works.
I've been having problems with flairs when trying to use a GND with my DA 15mm Limited. Determined it was light bleeding in from the sides of the flower-shaped lens hood. Tried holding the filter in various ways with no luck, so I got together with a friend to make my own holder that would block the light while holding the filter as close as possible for wide-angle coverage.
We took the rubber end off a flashlight and cut it so that it was just wide enough to fit over the lens hood, yet still blocked light from the sides. We left two rubber flaps to which we glued the edges of a plastic CD case. The edges of these cases have little slots that the filter slips under. When the filter is mounted, the rubber itself exerts some pressure and the slots hold it very securely in place, yet you can still slide it up and down.
First shot is of the holder. Second is of it on the camera.

Tman, (because Earl won't let me call you T......)  Sad

Your prototype filter holder does not look seedy, ok maybe a little CD. It may be a flashlight of brilliance that solves your problem. Being a DIY nut myself I applaud your ingenuity. So many problems can be solved with everyday items around us.
