It seems like Pentax SR technology isn't 100% fool proof, and cleaning sensor is still needed from time to time I guess.

So, what tool did you use to clean your sensor? What is your technique?  Smiley

I have heard about using a blower to blow the sensor, some said good but some go against it...saying that more dust will be introduced if you blow it. What is your personal experience?  Cool

I've been considering an Arctic Butterfly from VisibleDust. You going to bring it in?

I used to clean it when I had my DS. I used the sensor swab and the eclipse liquid.

Very powerful. I did it 3 times in 2 years.
Operation is not hard to do, you just have to take care with movements.

I use a manual air blower when needed. So far, it has always been enough.

4.5k shots now and all cleaning was using purely blower. Still not encounter any sticky issue.

I'm the same as tcom.  I use a rocket bulb blower and have found that is enough.  The first time I took my DS into a repair shop, and since have done it myself about every 6 months.  Have already had a dust spot on my K10D.  I also change lenses a lot.

Not had to do my K100D yet but I had to clean my DS2 in Mexico - saw dust after downloading to Epson P2000. Used bulb blower and Arctic Butterfly. Always dreaded doing this but it worked and was fine.
