If you saw a good photo or informative post posted by somebody, do not be stingy to give him/her an [APPLAUD]

Kho, I think it's a bit weird using that function. The first time I tried to look what it is I was thrown off by that "Reason for changing the karma of this user" field. What does it mean?
Does it mean that the karma of the applauded or smited user was changed (is to be changed) by the one filling that field, or
does it mean that the karma of the one filling the field was changed by the applauded or smited user?
So does karma equal rating here or is the rating a measure of how many karmas were changed?
It's just too confusing for me, in part I guess because I'm not too familiar with the concept of karma. You have to explain that to the user a bit more, I think (at least if the user is a stupid westerner like me  Wink ).

Hi Prieni,

When you want to [Applaud] or [Smite] someone, you need to provide a reason.

Say if you see Mr. AA posted a nice photo, so you want to [Applaud] him. In the "Reason for changing the karma of this user" field, you can type "sharing a nice photo". Smiley

Is the "karma" system still in place? I don't see any button for applauding a post. Or are noobs not allowed to change the karma of others yet?

Yes it is. I don't actually think there are any limitations on that. If you want add or subtract karma just click the +ev or -ev under the member's rating on the left side of the page.
