Great point Tim! As a forum that is global in membership (one of our best qualities), we do want to ensure that we do not get too narrow in our perspective or have conditions that may limit participation. I have added a few lines in the contest description to make sure every is aware that all leaf types meet the October theme (tree, plant, flower, etc). I do appologise if my description in the contest appeared too seasonally North American. I look forward to seeing many different type of leaves from around the world.

Good luck in the contest everyone!

Thanks for the thought but don't worry, us southerners will be there.
We don't have that many deciduous trees in Aussie,  most have their leaves all year round. Smiley

We do have some Autumn (Fall) leaves (feb/march/april) but they are mostly not native to Australia.
So you have the "DROP"  Grin Grin Grin on us I guess.

Some leaves didn't make it to the ground before the snow arrived...

Our leaves show no sign of turning yet, so can I import some leaves from up north? I have friends there that will send me a few, and one that may send me a box of walnuts for my squirrels. What about the poor souls in Oklahoma? I've been there a time or two, and if they have trees, they must keep them inside?
Regards!
