PentaxWorld August 2009 Photo Contest

Ladies & Gentlemen ! ....... Step right up and sign your name on the dotted line. For all those that wish to enter, you can do so by simply replying to this thread. No picture is needed at this time, just a willingness to join in the fun. Everybody ropes....... Everybody rides........

So here is the deal :

We will collect names until August 4th. All the names will go into a great big dusty hat and get mixed up.
We will pull names out of the hat to pair members up. The pairs will be listed August 5th for all to see and posted here.
The pairs will work together and privately decide what they want to photography.
Each member of the team must supply a image. The images must somehow support each other in some way or have some relationship or bonding theme (example peanut butter & jam, or a tire & tire iron).

Submission Date

August 6th until August 23rd 2009, midnight

Voting Date:
August 24th until August 31st 2009

Guidelines:
1. Photo Size: 500~800 pixels on the max width/height.
2. File Size: Not more than 512KB.
3. Submit using the ATTACHMENT feature in this thread. Post a reply to this thread with your entry.
4. One photo per theme per member. (photo must be taken using a Pentax camera)
5. Submitted photo must NOT have entered the previous contest in PENTAXWORLD before. Photos can have entered other competitions except PENTAXWORLD. We do not want duplicated entries in PENTAXWORLD photo competitions.
6. Image can be captured by a Pentax film camera, and image scanned.
7. Have fun!

All submitted photos (attachment) will not be visible to members. This is to help let the image stand on its own and provide a fair voting later.

Prize
1. Winning "Pair" photos with the highest vote will be showcased on the front page of PentaxWorld and on a sticky thread. Cheesy

2. Winners will have in their member's profile as a recognition, and have their names listed at Contest Winners page. Cool

3. Winners will enjoy supreme bragging rights, a round of congratulations, and a smile that lasts all month.

So without further delay we are pleased to announce the "pairs / teams". Members were paired up with the help of a random list generator. Please contact your partner (via PM) and make an introduction ("Hi my name is _ are you ready to rock this thing!"). The goal is for each team to submit two photos (one per member). The photos have to have a relationship to each other (like checkers and a checker board, peanut butter & jam, a nut & bolt, book and shelf or book marker.
Discuss what subject matter you both can manage. Work together. Remember voters will be voting on two aspects (image relationship & quality of image). If you can not get hold of your partner please let us know so we can see if we can get you paired up with someone else. You can PM me - Spyglass

When submitting your photos please make sure that you provide your name and team number. We have also made a slight change and ask that each team create and included a title for the team effeot / paired photo (one title to encompass both photos). Images are to conform to contest rules in all other area (size, etc.)
